The Asegedech Home for the Elderly is located on the northern outskirts of Dire Dawa. This is an institution in which elderly people find a new home when they can no longer be supported by their families or friends or when there is no longer a family. In particular “Ethiopian Initiative” is helping to develop a water source for better cultivation of the fields and to build shelters.
